Thersa Weld wins the bronze medal in the Olympics in Belgium.

It is the first Olympic medal in Ladies Figure Skating won by a U.S. athlete. Weld, by now Mrs. Charles Blanchard, and Nathaniel Niles, both members of the Skating Club of Boston, make up the entire U.S. team.
